Well, not trying to offend anyone but here is how I understand the burn jita thing so far based on what people write. Make of it what you will. I am new and been reading up. It seems that the goon leader (some Mittani fellow) got drunk, made a real ass of himself, and encouraged a bunch of people to grief some ganked miner into committing real life suicide while on stage at CCPGÇÖs fan fest a year ago. As a result, he got kicked off the CSM and banned from playing for a while under their moral code thing like when they kicked that Neo **** fellow recently.
Anyway, as a result he got mad and decided to attack hi sec and grief folks for some reason as a celebration event thingie in revenge with his alliance. The goon troops rallied and started ganking in Jita on the day the guyGÇÖs ban ended. I guess he or they want to carry it on from year to year now. Ego or boredom or both I donGÇÖt know.
Also of note, it was at the Dev / player dinner that CCPGÇÖs head honcho had to kick the leader of TEST out for trying to rough up that Mittani fellow. Might have been the start of some resentment on a personal level that boiled over in their near Alliance brawl recently.
Cracked made the Mittani fellow one of their number one dicks in gaming history in an article HERE as a result of it all. Other sites have reported the incidents in similar unflattering terms as well. It is what it is. |

IDK... I already wrote that. You're some CSM person with that group right? If what people have been writing across the forums about Burn Jita and the reasons for it isn't true then set the record straight. I am curious too. I am not sure who is mad over what. I am not part of any of it it, no alt, don't know who goons are outside of red thingies on the jita live cam and think it's all kind of funny or typical of EVE's legendary meta. I mean are you just trying to top the biggest **** move now that you were awarded one or is there a point in all of it?

You are defining fun as MOAR TEARS from blowing up miners and industrials or the general player that canGÇÖt fight back and doesnGÇÖt read the forums. This event began after the leadership and instigator gets banned for attacking a really depressed miner they griefed for MOAR TEARS and then publicly encouraging everyone to further bully them into real life suicide because they thought it was a fun thing to do. This makes sense? This is GÇ£fun?" One would think a spanking dissuades repeated behavior but you decide to do it on a larger scale year after year in memorial instead while painting high sec as some form of scape goat for your frustrations.
I thought EVE was supposed to be about PVP fun and good fights rather than just MOAR TEARS. What happened to the big fights CCP presents EVE as being about in 0.0 with all those videos? Is grinding soverignty so bad that youGÇÖd rather find ways to create your own Red vs Blue teams to shoot each other for PVP and hang out in Jita looking for random targets to grief now?
I donGÇÖt get it but what ever. lol. |
